2013 Mathews Creed Reviews and Pricing

    Mathews Creed Review

The folks at Mathews have just released the 2013 Mathews Creed.  In their own words they have created a state of the art bow from technologies that have proven themselves in past bows.  So have they created anything new or are they just recycling the same old gimmicks and charging you $1000 bucks? Let's take a deer look in this Mathews Creed Review.

Check out this brand new Mathews Creed Video that was just released on the Mathews site.  You can start the video and listen to the audio while you continue reading the review.

    Mathews Creed Split limbs

    Mathews Creed Split limbs

One quick look and this bow looks like a Z7 or Heli M.  A closer look and you realize there are several changes.  This bow is like a Frakenstein of the Mathews engineers.  The split limbs jump out at you pretty quickly.  And then you see the limb pockets.  Didn't Mathews say limb pockets were not needed any longer?

    Mathews Creed Draw Cycle

The new 2013 Creed is powered by the SimPlex Cam.  It's creators have dubbed it as the smoothest single cam bow EVER!  The draw will definitely be smoother than its Monster brothers.

    Mathews Creed Back Wall

It looks like the Creed got the back wall cam stop from the Heli M.  In fact, many people are calling it the split limb Heli M.  The wall is solid and sure to make for more consistent groups.

    Mathews Creed Noise and Vibration

Harmonic stabilizers are standard on the aluminum riser.  The strings are also equipped with Monkey Tails and come to rest on the dead end string stop.  The general report from most of the first shooters is a very solid bow.  No movement or shock is felt or noticed on the shot.  It is very much dead in hand.  Since no vibration is noticed it is only logical that very little noise comes after the shot.

    Mathews Creed Speeds

The 2013 Creed has a listed IBO speed of 328 feet per second.

    Review Conclusion

This bow just hit pro shops on November 5th, Today!  I hope to have an opportunity to shoot it in the next couple of days.  In the meantime I will continue to update this review.  Youtube and other sites should have some fresh information coming out very soon.  We also hope hope our own BowCritic visitors will leave a Creed Review if they have had a chance to try it out.

Do not buy the 2013 Creed. I was very disapointed, i bought this bow and on the first day had problems. The strings kept coming off the cam, i took it back and got a new one on the same day just incase that one had a defect. The dealer re-stringed it and it did the same to him. They gave me a new one, I took the other new Creed home and first shot (with an arrow, not dry) and the limb snapped. Very disapointed with Mathews.

Shot one today ,had to have one.First time to shoot the bow ,at 20 yds,and shot a 4 shot 1-1/2 group.I loved it.No vibration, very solid back wall, under 4 lbs ,and I swear the bow doesnt even move when you fire.I paid for one today but its a 4 week wait here.Everybody wants one.Mathews cant even keep up.Theyve outdone themselves.

Had all my gear stolen on 10-24-12. Went into Adams Archery to start looking at new bows and said Mathews was coming out with their new lines on 11-5-12. It was a choice between the Hoyt Spyder and the Mathews Creed. The Creed and Hoyt were both smooth shooters, solid back wall, the winning factor for the Creed was I felt it had a smoother draw cycle. Order a custom set up and hope to have it soon. Great design, great shooting bow, great job Mathews.

Got my Mathews Creed bow this past weekend. What an awesome experience when first shooting her. Light as a feather, perfect for the South African hunter and absolutely no movement after the release. This definitely helps for consistency of shots with zero noise. Well done to Mathews.
My only dislike is the grip on the Tactical Creed. I prefer the wooden grips.

After shooting ~800 arrows the bow started to produce a loud resonating noise. Bow shop installed a new cam from company. Didn’t resolve the problem. Company sent a new set of limbs. Noise did not disappear.
      I have returned the bow.

Shot all the new flagship bows for this year from Bowtech, Hoyt and Mathews. Have always been a Hoyt shooter and the staff at the bow shop were obviously Hoyt fans as well. Try as I might to find something to top the Creed, nothing could change my mind after shooting it. Great shooting Bow!!

    11. Went to look for a new bow New Years day. Shot Mathews Zxt first, (was what I went to look at) Shot Hoyt, Bowtech, Pse, and last bow brought out was the Creed. OMG what a bow, the draw cycle is smooth as silk, the back wall solid as can be, no “jump” or movement at all and very quiet! I wouldn’t have cared the cost of this bow, I would have paid whatever they were asking. Have been shooting for 4 months now and love the bow even more than the first day I shot it. By the way, was grouping under a inch while test shooting with a match stick for a sight, no peep, no kisser, just a match stick at 20 yards.
